Commencing journey in the year 1978, United Group turned itself into an industrial empire by 2007.In the year 2001 this group’s annual turn over was Tk.850 Million. This group’s activities are extended in the areas of transmission and communications, Lift and escalators, Polymer Industries, Textile Mills, Setting up ATM networks, Electricity establishment, Civil and Hydro Engineering, Real Estate Developers, Heavy Construction Equipment, Land Port Service, Establishing International University and Security Services. Raising up organizations one after another, who played the role of helmsman, to take this group to one of the top positions of the country; he is nobody else but the Chairman of the group Hassan Mahmood Raja. Mr. Raja believes if proper steps are adopted by assessment of time it is not hard to attain success in business. This had reflection in his life as an entrepreneur. One of the organizations of United Group, United Elevator World Ltd., received certifications ISO 9001:2000 in the year 2004.This achievement of United Elevator, in the area of administration and erection service, is one of the accomplishments of this group. United Elevator signed contracts for erection of more than 250 elevators and 160 lift management. United Group successfully concluded electronic encashment process of Social Investment Bank and Bill Payment through ATM of Dhaka Electric Supply Company (DESCO).For these services the ATM card holders would be able to pay bills without queuing for long on line.
