Mr. M. Shahjahan Bhuiya, Managing Director of Prime Bank Ltd., is that person who has moved on to the top by way of advanced professional banking in private banking of the country. His banking career commenced in the year 1970.Prior to that he worked as a teacher of a college. He started his professional life after obtaining post-graduate degree from Dhaka University. At the onset of the banking career, he performed the responsibilities as Manager at various branches of Pubali Bank Ltd. Later he joined at first at UCBL and then at the City Bank Ltd., He performed responsibilities holding various significant positions of this Bank. In the year 2000 he joined as Senior Executive Vice President of this Bank. He obtained responsibilities of Deputy Managing Director in 2001 and Additional Managing Director in 2002 of this Bank. In 2003 he was at the helms of affairs of the Bank as Chief Executive Officer with full responsibilities as Managing Director. Mr. M. Shahjahan Bhuiya, in his long professional career, wherever he performed responsibilities he endeavored to lay the foundation of success. As a result it was not too late to receive recognition of his labor. Slowly he reached the top position. Receiving various training during his professional life made his track to advancement further smooth and dynamic. Higher training in Marketing Strategy and Capital Management supported him to take up roles well-matched to the time. Due to his skilled leadership Prime Bank reached to the top position in gaining profit together with CAMEL rating by achieving successes one after another. In 2006 Prime Bank realized post tax net profit of B.Tk.105.19 Cr. Amount of deposit also accelerated to B.Tk.5472.41 Cr from B.Tk.3602.25 Cr. of earlier year. During this time this Bank’s growth of deposit wasTk.51.92 %. During long time apart from deposit taking activities Prime Bank also started new schemes in loan distribution. By way of initiatives of the

Bank programs of rural industries were taken along with Small and Medium Enterprises from district towns. Not only profits but also in CSR, Prime Bank stepped in, setting new targets. Mr. M. Shahjahan Bhuiya is having untiring roles in order to realize these objectives. As Chief Executive Officer of a vibrant Bank Mr. M. Shahjahan Bhuiya thinks the Banks are not only for profits.
