Then there was neither any prior experience nor any instance, nothing was in front of Dr.Shamim to set up specialized clinic. He bought medical equipment from abroad with the endorsements of sufficient technicians, nurses and physicians. Dr. Shamim noticed there is sufficient lack of para-medical workers with technical and medical knowledge. In consideration of the same, later on he founded a training institute named ‘Bangladesh Institute of Dental and Medical Technology’. In this way Dr. Shamim’s dream moved ahead. Subsequently in years Lab Aid has become one of the Medicare Institutions of the country. Dream of this entrepreneur physician did not remain stopped there. In the year 2003 he went to neighboring India for treatment of heart disease of his mother, there Dr. Shamim saw Bangladeshi patients in huge numbers, those who ran to that country for standard treatment. These patients had to incur plenty of expenses in connection with treatment and stay there. Keeping the same in consideration, Shamim founded Lab Aid Cardiac Hospital. During the gone time, here successful by-pass surgeries were concluded for a mentionable number of patients. At present this institution founded by him attained specialty in any treatment of heart diseases. Now with severe heart patients, people without inclining towards India, Singapore and Thailand are crowding at Lab Aid Hospital. Just after successful opening up of Lab Aid Cardiac Hospital, Dr. Shamim took the initiative to set up Lab Aid Specialized Hospital. This institution is accomplishing treatment of all complex diseases except heart diseases, is providing Medicare services to more severe patients including Kidney transplantation, chemotherapy, kidney dialysis, tumor operation and joint replacement. With the assistance of about 60 specialist physicians, in the year 2006 this was run into operations by Dr. Shamim. This visionary did not stay stopped here just. In order to fulfill the demand of skilled and competent manpower he founded State University of Bangladesh. Dr Muhammad Yunus

The name of Dr.Muhammad Yunus as father of micro-credit is no more limited within Bangladesh. During this long time he did not just keep his creativity limited within the limits of micro credit. His earnest nursing gave birth to Gramin Check, Grameen Shakti and some more organizations. He established ‘Grameen Uddog’ to keep up the status of the country in textiles by presenting fading traditional handloom industry of Bengal in new formation. Gramin Check made by supplying Yarn, Dyes, technology and design to the weavers rehabilitated them and added a new dimension to economic activities. Originator of such successful initiatives Dr.Yunus the entrepreneur of Grameen Family has gone enlisted in the list of top business personalities of the world. Fazle Hassan Abed

Fazle Hassan Abed the father of BRAC and organizer of Poverty eradication and self employment is a savior to poverty stricken helpless people of the country. This personality has been nominated as Chairman of BAT very recently. After performing responsibilities in tea trade for more than an era, he joined as Leaf Operations Manager of BAT Bangladesh in the year 1982. In the year 1985, he took responsibilities as Head of Leaf. In the subsequent year he secured membership of Board of Directors. Despite being an international tobacco company, BAT directed an anti-smoking campaign with children. Apart from that he played significant role in exporting Bangladeshi tobacco abroad. As a result of such initiatives Bangladesh at present grows tobacco leaves worth more than Tk.625 Cr. a year and exports tobacco worth Tk.125 Cr. a year. Under his leadership BAT so far distributed 5.5 Cr seedlings, which is the biggest forestation program of the country under private initiative. This executive personality recently on being appointed as Chairman of BAT, took the responsibility to transform it into a more dynamic institute. From next 3rd August he will perform responsibilities as Chairman. Golam Mainuddin represented BAT Bangladesh, in different forums including Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce, Bangladesh Employer’s Federation, and Bangladesh Cigarette Manufacturers Association.
