The name of the sector, problems of which are perturbing each and every government for last two decades, is Power sector. As power generation is comparatively less than the demand, deficit of supply always picks up to persist. When during the decade of Ninety’s electricity crisis reached the optimum level, after that the government of the time was compelled to permit generation of electricity in the private sector. In connection with the same Khulna Power Company Limited came into a contract with the government to set up Barge mounted Power Plant. Though at the same time four different companies signed contracts, it was only Khulna Power Company Limited which could commence production on scheduled time. And behind this success whose talent, labor, skill and stiff pledge contributed- he is Mr. Muhammad Aziz Khan, the Chairman of the Company. Experienced, farsighted and rigid in promise, this hard-working man did never allow his project to go outside the determined time frame under any situation. The most affected area of the country is industrial activities due to electricity crisis not the households, as most factories and mills of the country are –electricity dependent. Industrial enterprises face various problems including decline of productivity, impediments in exports of export oriented units and other problems.
