Mr.Morshed Alam –a marked symbol of resolve is not such that which does not provide motivation, inspiration to a new generation. A drop of water transforms into an ocean, he proved this in the realm of life. Mr.Morshed Alam is the Chairman and Managing Director of the vast industrial empire, Bengal Group of Industries. Driven by patriotism and high aims of self-determination, he started with a trivial molding machine to step into a new domain of a small plastic factory; today even after crossing the limits of extent reaching the present stage of big tree of Bengal Group of Industries, the journey goes on with dynamism. The footsteps, which commenced at a hard-up environment of an impoverished old small house of Old Township of old Dhaka, reached today the destination: global market place crossing   the boundaries of the country. The rare combination of creative power, hard labor, far-sightedness, skill and patience let Mr. Morshed Alam establish Bengal Plastic Industries in 1978 by overcoming many stumbling blocks. And then on he was never in need to look back. He was keen to achieve world standard for his products by research in a row all the time. Putting together samples and experience from countries across the world and experimenting at various stages he was able to develop most modern plastic products particularly those suitable for household use. In continuation of the same, Bengal Plastic got the pride of becoming licensee of Germany’s famous Solar International. In 2000 he obtained world’s highest standardization citation ISO. Small plastic factory of one time is today, the reputed vast establishment, famous in the world market. Arthokatha Board of Juries honored Mr. Morshed Alam several times considering his accomplishment of the great job of taking the Bangladesh plastic products to reach the global market. He received the Best Entrepreneur Award in 2003 and 2004 in Plastic Industry and year’s best business person award in 2006.
